Course Description: First 5K is fairly flat with some very gentle  rolling hills.  Next 3K contains at least seven killer hills in the back roads of Druid Hill Park.  The last 2K is flat, but who cares at this point, most runners are ready for the race to have been over a long time ago.  This is a very challenging event.  The hills in the back of the Baltimore Zoo seem relentless with their curves and seemingly never-ending elevation gains.

The runners run around Druid Lake, exit, then take on the Mansion House Loop.  Back behind the Jones building, and then they enter the back of Druid Hill Park.  In a two-mile stretch of a 10K race, runners discover at least seven significant hills.

About the best thing that can be said about this stretch of the course is that the trees are so tall that they provide an abundant amount of shade from the sun until you reach the main drive again.

But plenty of refreshments at the end.  And what is a run, after all, if you can't reminisce with your running buds who skipped out on the course?  They will all be back next time.

Premium: For an additional $15 participants will receive a high quality air flo Cool Max running shirt with Cari's incredible design on the front.  The color and design varies year to year.

Please note that sizes are limited, and the shirts are in Men's and Women's sizing, so be careful when ordering.

Directions:  To get to Druid Hill Park, take I-83 to the 28th Street Exit. Go east to the first traffic signal, which will be Sisson Street.  Turn left.  Go to the second traffic signal at Wyman Park Drive and turn left.  Follow the drive into Druid Hill Park, park next to the swimming pool or tennis courts or on the lake drive, and look for the for the start.
